Abstract
Obesity is one of the health risks children and adolescents are exposed to. Obesity causes physiological problems such as lack of self-esteem in children and adolescents and increases the possibility of illnesses. The National Youth Policy Institute conducted the「Survey on Children and Youth Obesity」for the establishment of measures for the prevention and management of obesity in children and adolescents.
The main contents of the survey include subjective state of health, eating habits and exercise, height and weight, state of weight management, willingness to participate in obesity prevention program, physical shape of parents, interest in physical looks, self-esteem, and life satisfaction.
