Abstract

The number of public employment security offices has drastically increased due to the government’s efforts to respond to the increase in unemployment caused by the financial crisis. But there have been no evaluations of the level of user satisfaction with the services provided by public employment security offices. Thus the「Survey on the Use of Public Employment Security Office」was conducted for the purpose of evaluating and examining the need for employment services. The survey was conducted among job seekers and hiring companies using public employment security offices, and employment consultants, and this data was collected from job seekers.
The questionnaire of this survey includes questions on period and number of seeking employment, job seeking activities, obstacles faced in the process of seeking employment, desired occupation and employment conditions, reason for keeping employment, evaluation of public employment services and points for improvement, number and hours of employment consultations, desired services, intention of receiving employment consultation, evaluation of worknet system, usefulness of job related information, comparison to private employment exchange services, and state of occupational training.
