Abstract
The Korea Labor Institute conducted the「Study on the Employment Structure and Welfare of Construction Day Laborers」to provide reform measures for the working conditions and employment stability for day laborers working in the construction industry. The study attempts an empirical analysis of the structure and characteristics of the construction industry and the daily labor market, employment, wages and working conditions of day laborers. In order to collect analytical data for this study the「Survey on the Employment and Consciousness of Construction Day Laborers」was conducted and the data on the construction companies and day laborers were collected.
This data is on the construction companies and the questionnaire includes contents on type and size of construction, site management and mobilization of laborers, job training, and registration management of day laborers, welfare program and facilities for day laborers, industrial disasters, and difficulties in corporate management.
