Abstract

The aim of this survey is to collect data for the establishment of anti corruption policy by understanding the overall state of government corruption from various aspects, and closely examining the characteristics of corruption through those who have either worked closely with or directly for a government body. By including the contents of the yearly survey on corruption conducted by the Korea Institute of Public Administration since 1999, this survey is designed to allow the time-series study on corruption in Korea. This data is a cumulative version of the「Survey on Corruption in Public Office」. The questionnaire includes the following contents: the gravity of corruption in public office, the prevalence of corruption in various social areas, actual experiences of submitting bribes, motivation for corruption, causes of corruption, and measures for corruption.
