Abstract

Previous Korean governments have always promoted the reform of administrative management. In 1990 administrative management reform has been pursued centering on the system of governance and such efforts continue until today. This survey was conducted for the empirical evaluation of the Roh Moo-Hyun government’s system of governance and to collect data for the establishment of a governance system suitable for future environments.
The questionnaire includes contents on the evaluation of systems adopted following the Roh government or those that have been promoted since the previous government, evaluation of government structural reform following the Roh government, evaluation of Roh government’s government committee, and competency evaluation of Roh government’s policy decisions. More specific questions include evaluation of organizational management/personnel management/budget management/performance management/public service, evaluation of organizational structure, evaluation of form of policy decision making, evaluation of capacity for policy decision making and regulation and error rectification management.
