Juvenile delinquency is emerging as a serious social problem in Korean society and its conditions are worsening accompanied by increased levels of violence, younger age level, sexual deviation, and increased rate of recidivism. This survey aims to reevaluate the state of the juvenile justice system in connection to juvenile crimes as well as policies on juvenile delinquency in order to provide preliminary data for the development of improved policies and system. The questionnaire includes problems of the current juvenile justice system such as realization of the principle of juvenile protection, overall problems of the juvenile justice system, and evaluation of countermeasure for school violence and specific direction for reform and its institutionalization.
