Though changes in crime and investigative environments such as advancement in crime methods and increase in social anonymity are requiring improved and more scientific investigative methods there is a lack of empirical studies on investigation capacities. This survey was conducted for the purpose of providing data essential to the improvement in the capacity of criminal investigation agencies by examining the state and capacity of Korea’s criminal investigation. The questionnaire is composed of the following contents: investigative administration, investigation process, investigation system, and scientific investigation.
