Organized crime is not only becoming globalized but its methods are becoming increasingly professionalized and corporatized calling for more effective countermeasures. This survey was undertaken to collect preliminary data for the investigation of problems in the operation of countermeasures against organized crime indicated by the police and prosecutors, to develop appropriate measures for reform. The questionnaire includes the following: protection of witnesses and reporters of organized crime, measures against fear of retaliatory crime, reform measures and utilization status of organized crime investigation information management system, reform measures and status of personal information sharing of cooperative organizations, dispossession status of crime organizations’ illegally accumulated wealth and measures on activation of dispossession systems, the connection between youth gangs and adult criminal organizations and measures against it.
