Although many studies have been carried out on the decline of prostitution and changes in the methods of sex trafficking following the enactment of the Act on the Prevention of Sex Trafficking and Prostitution in 2004 studies on the actual lives of the women who partake in prostitution and their behavior revealed in the process of sex trafficking is still lacking. This survey was conducted to closely examine the health, financial state, and interpersonal relations of women engaged in businesses in areas of sex trafficking, and the study of the effects of the Act on the Prevention of Sex Trafficking and Prostitution on their lives, as well as to provide data useful for the establishment of more efficient policy on sex trafficking. The questionnaire includes contents related to health, sexually transmitted diseases, policy on sex trafficking, and interpersonal relations.
