Following the enactment of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act in 1987 efforts have been made by companies to reform issues of sexual discrimination but employment conditions for female workers have yet to meet expectations. This survey aims to collect preliminary data essential for establishing the support of the government and role of corporations in realizing equal employment opportunities by investigating the employment and management of female workers by corporations. The questionnaire includes contents on corporate history, size of corporation, state of new hiring, female employees, characteristics of labor relations, state of female personnel management, wage policy, promotion and resignation policy, educational training program, maternity protection policy, and childcare support.
