Abstract

The Korea Labor Institute and Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs jointly conducted the Unemployment and Welfare Need Survey in Korea while the 1997 financial crisis produced extreme levels of unemployment and threatened the livelihood and employment chances of many people. The purpose of the Unemployment and Welfare Need Survey in Korea is to present policy that can effectively improve the government’s unemployment policy and service conditions by understanding the living conditions of the unemployed and their need for welfare. This survey is designed to distinguish households with members unemployed or who have experienced job changes following the IMF crisis, out of the total pool of respondents. The questionnaire contains: household members’ employment status, employment condition, whether they are looking for jobs, and if they have experienced job changes following the IMF crisis.

Usage

「실업실태 및 복지욕구조사」는 실업가구 판별용(A1-1998-0027), 실업가구(A1-1998-0028), 임금추가(A1-1998-0029), 비임금추가(A1-1998-0030), 가구원 심층자료(A1-1998-0031), 비실업가구(A1-1998-0032), 실업가구원(A1-1998-0033), 비경제활동가구원(A1-1998-0034), 임금근로자(A1-1998-0035), 비임금근로자(A1-1998-0036) 로 구성되어 있으며, 모두 KOSSDA에서 이용가능하다.
