Abstract

The Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency planned to conduct a survey on worker’s state of health and working environment every 5 years starting in 1998. The purpose of this survey is to examine the state of health and health management of workers at their job sites to get an understanding of the state of industrial health management at the workplace to provide basic data for the establishment of worker health related policy. This is the 2nd year survey of the「Worker’s Health Survey in Korea」and falls under the non-manufacturing industry worker category among the categories of workplace, manufacturing industry workers, and non-manufacturing industry workers. The questionnaire is composed of the following contents: workplace conditions, health of workers, job and job environment, smoking, drinking, health management, sleep and rest, evaluation of working conditions and working environment, and employment records and work experiences of workers.
