Due to the rapid changes in the economic environment as well as industrial structure, types of employment have also become more diverse compared to the past. The「Survey on the Diversification of Types of Employment」 is a survey research project conducted by the Korea Labor Institute to examine the diverse types of employment practiced by corporations and for the purpose of collecting data to be used as the foundation of establishing effective personnel management policy by the government. The survey was conducted among workers and corporations and this data was collected from corporate human resource managers. The questionnaire includes contents on lack of human resources, average years of employment of full time employees, number of people changing jobs, number of workers per type of employment, employment of hourly worker, utilization of temporary workers, wage level per type of employment, experience of restructuring, degree of consultations with labor union, employment of non-regular workers, and working conditions per type of employment.
