Abstract
Rape, as the most serious form of sexual crime, is on a dramatic rise and with its increasing brutality and involvement of younger age groups its gravity is becoming increasingly conspicuous. The survey was conducted to collect data useful for the provision of measures on the problems and state of rape in Korea through research and record surveys. This data was collected from reviewing the personal profile records of currently imprisoned inmates and the record contains contents on sentenced title of crime, standard of living, family relations, marital status, time of first sexual experience, partner of first sexual experience, location of crime, reason for crime, possession of weapon, relationship with victim, details of arrest, accomplice, and initial delinquent behavior.
