The 「Survey on the Lives of Adolescents」 is a survey research conducted every other year by the Korean Institute of Criminology to understand the lives, value system, state of delinquency, and crime victimization of adolescents. The survey was conducted four times from 1995 to 2003 and each year a core research topic was chosen, and including diverse questions on the topic allowed for the in depth research of the lives of adolescents. In 1995 attitude towards law and delinquency was chosen as the main topic followed by crime victimization in 1999 and contact with obscenities on the internet in 2003. This data was collected in 1995 and includes contents on adolescents’ attitude towards law, evaluation of the fairness in law administration, attitude towards obeying the law, family life, value system of parents, view on the opposite sex, attitude towards delinquency, and experience of delinquency.
