Abstract

The prosecutory authorities, in order to provide a safe environment for students to focus on their studies away from crime and hazardous environments, has been operating the 「School Safety Campaign」. The 「Survey on the School Safety Campaign」is a survey research project undertaken by the Korean Institute of Criminology along with the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office for a multilateral evaluation of the operation of the 「School Safety Campaign」. This survey research project aims to aid in selecting a future direction for the campaign by collecting opinions and diverse experiences related to the 「School Safety Campaign」. It is also designed to examine the individual pros and cons by evaluating the various programs implemented as part of the「School Safety Campaign」.
The 「Survey on the School Safety Campaign」is composed of surveys of parents, students, teachers, and volunteers and this survey was conducted among middle and high school students. The questionnaire includes contents on knowledge of the「School Safety Campaign」, evaluation of the「School Safety Campaign」, violence within and outside of the school, environment harmful to youth around the school, campaign results, and appropriate direction for the campaign.

「자녀안심하고 학교보내기 운동에 대한 의견조사」는 학생(A1-1998-0039), 학부모(A1-1998-0040), 교사(A1-1998-0041), 자원봉사자(A1-1998-0042) 조사가 동시에 시행되었다.
