Abstract
The 「Survey on Human Trafficking Investigation and Trial Records」 was conducted to build a preliminary database needed for establishing policy that maximizes the incorporation of the needs of victims by examining the types and characteristics of trafficking of women through investigation and trial records. The survey is composed of records on the human trafficking cases and data on the victims and suspects. This survey data is of records on human trafficking cases. The questionnaire includes contents on the type, gender and number of those related to the case, gender and number of victims, main points of the case, case course, luring method, purpose of crime, region and location per stage of crime, and classification by case type.

서울 경기 및 지방 주요도시 지방검찰청 14개 기관을 조사기관대상으로 선정하였다. [약취유인의 죄] 및 [특정범죄가중처벌법] 중 11개 세부죄명위반 범죄사건과 함께 [윤락행위등방지법], [청소년성보호법], [직업안정법] 및 [출입국 관리법] 위반사건으로 최근 3년간(1999-2001)기소 처리된 사건들이다.
