Fighting and bullying of students around the school are old phenomena. Recent increases in cases of extortion and violence has gathered attention on the issue of school area violence as a social problem. Despite the increasing social interest it is difficult to say that actual measures have been established for dealing with the causes and state of school violence. This survey was conducted to investigate and evaluate the state of violence around the school and its causes thereby providing useful data for the establishment of effective preventive measures. The questionnaire includes contents on damage from violence, damage from extortion, psychological damage, physical threat, physical damage, intimidation, contact with mass media, reception of mass media, domestic violence, deviation, and delinquency.
