Abstract

The conventional debate on the protection of personal information has been focused on the technical aspect of informatization, thus overlooking the fact that the infringement of personal information is inherent in the characteristic of mass surveillance of the modern nation-state and information capitalism. In this respect, the main goal of this study lies in analyzing the relationship between the macro and micro levels by dealing with macro level issues prescribing the issue of personal information infringement as an issue of monitoring and regulating of individuals by the State and capital.
The contents of the survey include the state of infringement of personal information in everyday life, victimization online, management conditions of online user information, commercialization of personal information, and the boundaries of personal information, etc..
