Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the problems and needs of probationers and develops tools and a system of evaluation for predicting possibilities of repeated offences. The ultimate goal is to develop a classification and assessment tool for classifying the level of possibility for repeated offence according to the characteristics of the probationer and providing the treatment services they need thereby decreasing the rate of repeated offences. An interview survey evaluation chart was developed and used as a questionnaire to investigate the probationers’ possibility for repeated offences. The survey evaluation chart is composed of contents including criminal record, family environment, upbringing, school and work life, social skills, sociality, health, emotional stability, level of education, occupation, alcoholism, drug addition, and mental competence.
