Survey on the Self-Reliance Program, 2001 : Current Participants

On October 2001, a year after the Ministry of Labor began its self-reliance program on October 1st 2000, the numbers of people who have participated in this program total 25,024 and out of this number 4,560 have been reported to have succeeded in gaining employment or starting a business. This survey was conducted to contribute to the establishment of system reform measures for improved program management by examining the state of living and job seeking activities of the participants of the self-reliance program.
This survey was conducted among the current participants of the self-reliance program run by the Ministry of Labor and those participants who are now employed or running a business following the program. The questionnaire of current participants was designed to focus on investigating problems of the current program and the questionnaire of those employed or running a business was designed to understand the state of their employment and financial status.
