Abstract
The「Survey on the Evaluation of 10 Years of Popularly Elected Local Self-Governing System」was conducted to evaluate the 10 years of local self-government and to examine the public opinion of Gwangju and Jeonnam citizens on the local elections to be held in 2006. The survey was conducted separately among citizens of Gawangju and the Jeonnam area, and this survey was conducted among citizens of Gwangju. The questionnaire includes questions on evaluation of local self-governing system, changes in local economy following the adaptation of the local self-governing system, decline of corruption following the adaptation of the local self-governing system, requisites of a community leader, public welfare issues, and impression of presidential candidates.
