Abstract
한국법제연구원은 시대적 변화에 따른 국민들의 법의식 변화양상을 파악하고자 1991년부터 '국민법의식 실태조사'를 시행하고 있다. 이 조사는 1991년 이래 1994년, 2008년, 2015년, 2019년 등 비정기적으로 시행되다 2019년 국가승인통계로 지정되었고 이후로는 2년 주기로 실시될 예정이다. 국민 법의식을 대표할 수 있는 지표 개발을 통해 법치주의 실현을 위한 국가정책개발의 기초통계자료를 창출하는데 그 조사목적을 두고 있다.
이 자료는 2015년에 만 19세 이상 성인남녀 3,000명으로부터 수집된 것으로, 법에 대한 관심, 법에 대한 인식, 법에 대한 가치관, 법에 대한 정서(느낌), 법 관련 최근 이슈(군가산점제도, 사형제 폐지, 간통죄 폐지, 성매매 처벌법, 국민참여재판제도 도입, 김영란법 도입, 비정규직보호법의 성과)에 대한 찬반의견, 법의 준수, 법에 의한 기본권 보장, 법의 실효성 보장, 법의 제정 및 집행 등에 관한 내용을 포함하고 있다.
