Abstract
Following the IMF financial crisis social problems caused by negative economic growth and high unemployment rate are emerging. This survey was conducted to examine the state of social problems resulting from the financial crisis for the establishment of policies to effectively deal with such problems. This survey was conducted in 1998 and 1999 when unemployment was at its highest among laborers residing in the Jeonbuk area with unemployment experiences. The questionnaire includes contents on the process of becoming unemployed, job seeking activities, socio-psychological state, job training, state of public works projects, and state of living etc.
