The purpose of this survey research is to identify the qualities and virtues necessary in citizens in order for Korea to become an advanced country. The survey is composed of contents that gaugeinter national standards, openness, transparency, reliability, degree of democracy and progressiveness, personal values and behavior, work and leisure, cognizance of social realities, cognizance of information oriented society, changes in family values and womanhood, evaluation of social system and governmental authority, social activities and participation, stratification, and the economic changes following the IMF financial crisis.
