Abstract
이 조사는 한양대학교 후견·신탁연구센터가 정신장애인의 입원치료 환경과 그에 따른 문제점, 정책 수요를 파악함으로써 정신장애인의 인권이 존중되는 치료 환경을 구축하고, 건강권 보장을 위한 정책 방안을 마련하는 데 필요한 기초자료를 확보하고자 국가인권위원회의 지원을 받아 실시한 것이다. 자료 수집은 정신장애인 입원 당사자와 의료기관 종사자를 대상으로 각각 이뤄졌다.
이 자료는 정신의료기관에 종사하고 있는 의사, 간호사, 사회복지사, 보호사, 간호조무사 등 종사자로부터 수집된 것으로 주요 조사내용은 국제인권기준 관련 인식, 적정수준의 생활 유지, 정신 및 신체적 건강을 누릴 권리 법률적 행위를 할 권리, 개인적 자유와 안정을 누릴 권리, 지역사회에 통합되어 독립적으로 살아갈 권리 등이다.
